Terri Jimenez
-
Club Director 13 Black Head Coach
Terri Jimenez coached at Pine Crest School for 11 years
resulting in 3 state championship teams. She was named as the Sun-Sentinel and
Miami Herald Coach of the Year in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003.
After coaching at Pine Crest for 3 years, Terri realized that her players needed
year-round training to compete with the elite programs in the area. It was at this
time that she founded
Boomers and Pine Crest volleyball became competitive.
Terri was named as the head coach for North Broward Prep for the 2005 season and
brought the eagles to their first district championship and regional final in
2009.
In 2009 Terri became the Director of Volleyball at Saint Andrew's School in Boca
Raton. She and her son Hugo are working together to build a strong program with
a district championship in 2010 and the Scots headed into regionals again this
season with a district championship.
Terri will be the Director of Youth Programs during the 2011/12 club season for
Boomers as well as the 13Black coach.

Hugo Jimenez
- Club Director
15 Black Head Coach
Grew up in Pine Crest gym with his mother coaching
there and hanging around while she played beach volleyball. Played at Pine Crest,
had most kills, digs, aces in mens program to date.
He attended the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business and played on
the men's club there while continuing to play beach.
Hugo was the assistant coach for Ace 18 mens at nationals, the assistant coach at
Pine Crest from 2002 - 2003, the assistant 18's coach for one year under Coach Nichols
at Boomers, 13 elite's, and 15 elite's coach the past 2 years, and assistant coach at
North Broward Prep since 2005.

Lynze Roos
- Recruitment Coordinator and Setters Coach
Lynze Roos begins her third season at the helm of
the Lynn University volleyball program. Coming off the one of the best seasons in
program history, Roos looks to continue to bring the Fighting Knights to new
heights. In addition to her duties at Lynn, Roos coaches for Boomers VBC out of
Fort Lauderdale and also served as the setters specialty coach with all levels from
13-18. Her 18-Elite team placed in the top 20% at the Colorado Crossroads and Big
South Qualifiers in 2007.
Lynn served as the assistant volleyball coach for Samford University the past two
years.
Roos arrived at Samford after a three-year tenure with Pike High School in
Indianapolis, Ind. At Pike, she was the head volleyball coach and led her team to
three top-four finishes in the conference, as well as a sectional final. She also
worked with the Pike Youth League, the Pike Fire Volleyball Club, and the
Indy Select Volleyball Club from 2001-04 and started the Central Indiana Summer
Volleyball League for high school programs.
As a collegian, Roos was an exemplary student-athlete. While an undergraduate
student at Butler University, she compiled a 3.5 grade point average on her way to
a double-major in English and education. She was named to the dean's list for eight
consecutive semesters, was a four-time NCAA District 12 All-Academic team member
and was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board. Roos was named the 2001
Future Educator of the Year by the Butler Secondary Education Department and was
selected as one of Butler's Top 100 Seniors.
On the court, Roos was equally impressive. As a freshman, while playing for current
Samford Head Coach Michelle Durban, Roos was named to the Midwestern Collegiate
Conference All-Newcomer team. She helped lead her squad to regular and postseason
conference titles and the program's first NCAA Tournament bid. Roos was named a
second-team all-conference performer in 1998 and 2000 and was picked to the MCC
All-Tournament Team in 2000. She ended her playing career in Butler's top 10 in
five categories and was named to Butler's Top 25 players in the first 25
years of the program.

Lisa Zielinski
-
18 Black Head Coach
Coach Lisa Zielinski is in her 24th year as the
Head Volleyball Coach, Assistant Athletic Director and Physical Education teacher at
St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Career record to date 547-114.
In 1990 coach Zielinski led St. Thomas Aquinas volleyball team to their first
District 5A title and has since won 22 consecutive titles. Under Coach Zielinski
the Raiders have won 7 Regional Championships and appeared in 13 Regional Finals.
The Raiders have made 7 State appearances and won the State 5A Championship in 1995
and 2004.
Coach Zielinski has been selected as the Dairy Farmers Florida 5A Volleyball Coach
of the year in 1995 and 2004. Selected Volleyball Coach of the Year 1995, 1997, 1999,
2000, 2001, 2002, and 2004, 2007, 2008 by the Sun Sentinel and the Miami Herald.
In 2004 Coach Zielinski was selected High School Female Coach of the Year by the
Miami Herald.
In 2002 and 2008 Coach Zielinski served as the Florida Athletic Coaches Associations
South All Star Volleyball Coach. Coached Volleyball Club at Sunshine Volleyball Club
1989 - 1991. South Florida Volleyball Club 1991-1993. Blockbuster Volleyball Club
Co-Director /Coach 1993-1994. Club Florida Volleyball Club 2005 - 2006. Ocean Breeze
Volleyball Club 2007. Boomers Volleyball Club 2001 - 2004, 2008- present
Under St. Thomas Aquinas Coach Zielinski more than 30 players have gone on to play
College Volleyball at: Stanford, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, UCF, FAU, Clemson,
Cornell, Rutgers and the Univ. of Tampa to name a few. Past players have been selected
as Gatorade Florida Volleyball Player of the year, Dairy farmers Volleyball Player
of the Year, NCAA All Americans, NCAA player of the year and NCAA Freshmen players
of the Year. Coach Zielinski currently has a St Thomas Aquinas volleyball Alumni
player playing on the USA Women's team.
Coach Lisa Zielinski graduated from Ithaca College with a BS in Physical Education
were she was a member of the women's tennis team and currently holds a top ten all
time winning percentage.

Steve Wilcosky
- 17 Elite Head Coach Training Director 18 and 17 Elite
Recruiting Coordinator 18 and 17 Elite
Steve Wilcosky, head volleyball coach at Nova
Southeastern University.
In 2006, under the direction of Wilcosky, the Sharks notched 11 victories
which eclipsed the win total of the previous two seasons combined. During
the season, NSU also fashioned an impressive four-match sweep on the
road in the C.W. Post Tournament in early September.
Wilcosky joined the Sharks' coaching staff following one season with Division I
High Point University.
Prior to his time with the High Point volleyball program, Wilcosky had a successful
five-year stint as an assistant coach at Greensboro College. While at Greensboro,
the team captured a pair of USA South Conference Titles in 2000 and 2004. He also
helped develop two conference Players of the Year, three Freshman of the Year, 20
All-Conference performers and an honorable mention All-American.
In addition to his work at the collegiate level, Wilcosky also served as the
associate head coach with the North Carolina High Performance squad. The High
Performance team is a pipeline for the USA Volleyball program at the regional level
and features many of the top prep volleyball players in North Carolina.
Other coaching stops on Wilcosky's resume include nine years as the head coach for
junior teams of the Piedmont Volleyball Club in the Junior Olympic Volleyball
program. He also spent last season as the associate head coach of the Piedmont 16's
who finished 27th at the National Tournament.
A 2000 graduate of Guilford College with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine,
Wilcosky was a four-year letterwinner in football at his alma mater. He served as
team captain for Guilford in 1999 and helped guide the squad to a conference
championship in 1997. Wilcosky began his volleyball playing career as a two-time
All-County performer at Miami (Fla.) Palmetto High School.

Adam Milewski
-
Assistant Coach 18 and 17 Black
Adam has been coaching and training both girls
and boys in the South Florida area for the past 7 years. In 2009 he received the
Outstanding Coach Award for 15-16yr olds by the USA Volleyball Florida Region. He is
currently coaching at Lynn University where he has been for the past 2 seasons. In
addition to coaching at Lynn, Adam has also coached both the boys and girls at St.
Andrews. From 2007-2010 Adam was the head coach at Olympic Heights High where he
also taught history.
Adam is also one of the top beach volleyball coaches in the state. Over the past 4
years he has trained many of the top junior athletes including numerous girls that
have received scholarships to play in the new and emerging sport of sand
volleyball.
Adam grew up in South Florida where he graduated and played volleyball at Coral
Springs High. He also played middle blocker on the University of Florida's club team
with Hugo Jimenez and continues to play both indoor and beach.

Chris Keen -
16 Black Head Coach

Recruiting Coordinator 16 and 15 Elite
Chris Keen has spent the last two club volleyball
seasons with Boomers Volleyball Club as Master Coach and is currently the assistant
volleyball coach at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL.
Keen spent the past three seasons with the highly touted University of Florida Gators.
After volunteering two years with UF, Keen was promoted to assistant coach and was
involved in all aspects of the Florida program. He was also head coach for the 17-1
team for Gainesville Juniors (Gainesville, FL) during the 2009 season. Keen joined
the Gators in August 2008 after serving as a club coach with On-Court Volleyball in
Suwanee, Ga. since November 2007. Prior to that, Keen was an assistant coach for one
season at Georgia Southern, where he assisted head coach Nicole McCray. Keen joined
McCray at Georgia Southern after the two spent the 2005 campaign on the staff of head
coach Steffi Legall. He served as a volunteer assistant coach with the Bulldogs.
Chris Keen is also an experienced beach volleyball player, he has played on a variety
of Pro Tours including East End Volleyball, Dig the Beach, and AVP Qualifier
Tour.
Keen was a three-year letter winner at the University of Findlay from 2003-05. As a
player, he set a new single-season school record in 2005 with 1,376 assists and led
the team with 12.07 assists per game. He was a two-time member of the MIVA
All-Academic team, while majoring in marketing.
He lettered in volleyball and soccer at Cathedral High School. He helped lead his team
to a state title in 1999 and was named Indianas Most Valuable Player that year. Out
of high school, Keen served as a student assistant coach at Marshall University and
had stints at Gibonsburg and Findlay High Schools and at his alma mater and perennial
power Cathedral. br>
Keen, a native of Indianapolis, Ind., earned his bachelors degree in business from
Findlay in May 2005.

Katie Bradley -
Assistant Coach 16 and 15 Black
Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Katie began her volleyball career at St. Thomas
Aquinas High school where she earned All-County and All-State honors. In that time,
she also played most of her club volleyball career at none other than Boomers Volleyball
Club! From there, she was recruited to continue her volleyball career at Lipscomb
University in Nashville TN. In 2007, she helped the team win the program's first
Atlantic-Sun Championship title and went on to play in the Division 1 NCAA tournament.
Her Junior year she decided to relocate back to South Florida where she finished her
volleyball career at Lynn University in Boca Raton. At Lynn, the Fighting Knights
advanced to the NCAA Tournament both years and broke the school record for most wins
in a season. This will be Katie's first season coaching at Boomers and she couldn't
be more excited!

Stephanie Bradley -
14 Black Head Coach
Stephanie started coaching for Boomers in 2009. For the
2010 and 2011 club seasons she worked as an assistant coach for the elite teams and
clinician. She also coached the summer and fall middle school programs. Before joining
with Boomers she coached with several different clubs in Florida including Middleburg
Volleyball Academy and Gainesville Juniors. In addition to club, she has worked as the
Head Freshman Coach and Varsity Assistant at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, FL and
as an assistant coach at St. Johns River Community College in 2009. Additionally she's
coached camps and clinics for several high schools in Atlanta, Ga., as well as Team Camp
at The University of Florida.
She was a 4 year varsity player for Middleburg High School. While there her team was 2
time State Finalist. She played for Blaze Volleyball Club for 6 years. Her teams made 2
appearances at the USAV Junior Olympics. She was also a member of HP Team Florida for 2
years, and attended elite training programs. Stephanie received her scholarship to
play at the University of South Florida. While there she was injured and received her
medical release. She continued her education at the University of North Florida, where
she graduated with her degree in Communications in December 2008

Kelly Decker -
13 and 14 Black Assistant Coach
Kelly is entering her second year of coaching at Boomers,
working as an assistant coach for the 12 Elite, 13 Elite and Boomers Beach programs. She
started coaching at Calvary Christian Academy as the assistant middle school coach,
intramurals coach and most recently, the girls JV head coach. She is a graduate of the
University of Louisville with a degree in Communication

Steve Grotowski -
12 Black Head Coach
Steven Grotowski has been a Florida native for the last
20 years and has been coaching since 01'. He currently resides in Boynton Beach with his
beautiful wife Capri and amazing son Cayd.
During Steven's 11 year coaching career he has been a part of many successful boys and
girls high school programs, a Boomers coach since 02' and in 10' began running Boomers
Beach Volleyball club.
Along with coaching, Steven is training full time to qualify for the 2012 London
Olympics in beach volleyball. He has competed here in the states and all over the world
and is currently ranked 4th in the US and 1st in England.

William Strachan

Co-Director National Program 17-18 Green Head Coach
William had coached at Northeast High School for 4
years and is now coaching at Pompano High School as of 2008. He previously was the
head JV coach and assistant varsity coach at Pine Crest School from 2001 - 2003.
William was part of the 3 state titles that were won at Pine Crest during this time.
Before coaching at Pine Crest, William coached both the girls and boys programs at
Northeast from 1997 - 2000.
William has been with Boomers Club for 9 years where he has coached the 13s,14s, 15s,
and 17s age groups.

Brian Lum
-
Co_Director National Program 16 Green Head Coach
Brian got his first lessons of volleyball under
the direction of Coach Terri Jimenez at Pine Crest High School's first men's
volleyball team back in 1996. Although Brian attended Florida State University
and was president of the Men's Club Soccer Team, he was always more than
willing to help out Coach Jimenez with her volleyball programs on breaks.
This will be Brian's 13th year coaching with Boomers Volleyball Club, coaching
age groups 14's to 17's. He was the assistant coach to Coach Jimenez in 2001,
when they went to Jr. Nationals in Salt Lake City, Utah. Brian embraces coaching
the second teams and has had several players move on to college and professional
careers. Brian and his wife, Tricia, have a 3-year old Kylie who he looks forward
to introducing volleyball to!

Brittany Ross -
15 Green Head Coach
Brittany is extremely familiar with Boomer's Volleyball
Club and its passion for developing well rounded players. Throughout her high school
years Brittany played for Boomers and was also a member of Pine Crest School's three time
state championship teams under the leadership of Coach Terri Jimenez. At Pine Crest she
was selected as the Power Bar National Player-of-the-Week her junior year, a two-time
All-State selection, two-time Player-of-the-Year, three-time All-County selection and set
the record for most kills in a State Championship match with 31.
Brittany played volleyball collegiately at Clemson University. With one of the best
freshman seasons in school history she was named an All-ACC freshman at the conclusion of
the season by the league's coaches, set a Clemson freshman record with 472 kills, set a
school freshman record with 1,375 attempts and was voted by her teammates as the team's
Rookie of the Year. In her sophomore season she was selected to the second-team All-ACC
and was also named to the 2005 All-ACC Academic team, earned AVCA East Region
honorable mention honors, led the team with 525 kills for the season and became just the
11th different Tiger player to join the 20-20 club (record at least 20 kills and 20 digs
in a single match). She also tied the school record for kills in a single match with 32,
accomplishing the feat twice during the season.
Just before her junior season Brittany received a medical redshirt but decided to use her
time away from sports to live and travel abroad, finish school and attend graduate
school. She attended the University of Florida and earned her Master's. While in
Gainesville, Florida Brittany was a head 13's and 14's volleyball coach for Girls Place,
Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls of all racial, religious
and economic backgrounds to grow confident, strong, and independent in order
to thrive in the world around them.
Brittany is thrilled to finally be home and coaching for her beloved Boomer's!

Tiffany Boatwright

Tiffany has been the assistant coach at Saint Thomas
Aquinas for the past three seasons where she has helped with middle development and
training. Tiffany attended and graduated from The University of Tampa where she
received many accolades. She was named to the Sunshine State Conference team all four
years, All South Region team for three years, NCAA First Team All-American, Sunshine
State Conference Freshman of the Year, and All South Region Freshman of the Year. She
attended Saint Thomas Aquinas High School and played club for Boomers. Tiffany is
currently in her second season coaching for Boomers.

Capri Grotowski -
12 Green Head Coach
Coach Capri Grotowski resides in Boynton Beach,
Florida and as
a native has been playing locally since 1999, and coaching since 2004.
After graduating from Lake Worth High with being named to the Super Six, an MVP, and both
District and Conference titles she was awarded a scholarship and went on to play all 4
years at Northwood University located in West Palm Beach. At Northwood, she was a 4 time
MVP, 3 time All Conference Team and received the Champion of Character Award in
2009.
Her coaching experience spans over 7 years in both indoor and beach volleyball. After a
starting a family in 2010 and taking some time off Capri is currently entering her 8th
season as a pro beach volleyball player. Capri has qualified for the AVP numerous times
and has a career best of a 17th on tour, she was ranked 1st in 2007 on the Zephryhills
Beach Volleyball Tour and has over a 15 open wins on the beach.

Dan Weppner

14 Regional Deerfield Head Coach
Dan has been coaching volleyball in Broward county
since 2002 at the middle school, junior varsity and varsity levels. He coached at Zion
Lutheran from 2002 - 2005 and more recently at Calvary Christian Academy from 2006 -
2011 (present). Dan's volleyball roots began at the beach where he competed at the AA
level between 1986-1992. Both of his daughters Darian and Daylyn played in the Boomers
volleyball program from 12s to 18s. Darian plays DS at Lynn University and will begin
her 2nd year coaching. Daylyn attends and plays club volleyball at American Unversity
in Washington D.C. a school she discovered while on a volleyball
trip with Boomers. Dan started coaching for Boomers on 2003. |

Coach Gianino is a native of Ft Lauderdale who has either played
or coached for over 20 years. She has been coaching since 2008, first at Fort Lauderdale Christian
School and now at Westminster Academy. She played volleyball throughout middle and high school and
has also played in competitive beach volleyball.

BOOMERS VOLLEYBALL CLUB
was established in 1995 by Terri Jimenez, Boomers director, with the goal of
providing off season training to serious minded volleyball players. Boomers is considered the
strongest club in South Florida for many reasons. We believe in providing the very best
training available with the most qualified coaches. Our first consideration is always our players
and their development. We provide a well rounded program that teaches skills, sportsmanship,
leadership, family values, and a strong work ethic. We set a high standard for our administration,
coaching staff, and players.
Boomers only employs the best and most experienced coaches in the area. Our
collegiate coaching staff includes coaches from Nova Southeastern University, Lynn University,
and Barry University. Our high school coaching staff is a who’s who of the South Florida area.
We employ high school coaches that have been coaching successful programs for many years. This
experience level provides a unique opportunity for our players to learn from the brightest and the
most knowledgeable coaches available. |
